Artistic Metal Plasma Cutting

Metal art can fall under a couple of different categories when referring to the art world. Several people woud place it as a sculpture. Metal art can also be classified as out of the mainstream designs. There aren’t many metal artists out there because of the time, space, and resources that an artist would need to create it.
A metal artist would need a metal work shop, where as a painter would
only need a room or studio. A painter would only need paint, canvas, and
some brushes, but a metal artist would need several different
machines, such as plasma cutters, before they could begin their work.
There are 3 different types of metal art:
In casting, a metal artist will make a model of an object. They would
then use a furnace to melt their metal, which could be Steel, Bronze,
Aluminum or any other metal alloy. Once the metal is melted, the artist
pours it into the mold. The object will cool down and is then released
from the mold. After it’s been cleaned, the mold is complete. Casting is
very time consuming, and brings a high risk of burning oneself.
Fabricated sculptures are similar to a casting metal sculpture. There
is some heat that is used, but it’s usually from welding certain metals
together. These sculptures are often times very detailed and more
realistic than the casting sculptures.
Metal junk art is the last of these different types. It is often times
created from scrap metal that can be found in a junk yard, hence the
name metal junk art.
Metal art does indeed take more money, time, and effort then many other
types of art. Part of this is why it is so beautiful and valuable.
